Great location, close to amenities and outdoor activities. Clean and well-equipped bunkhouse.- Ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
Lack of towel provision should be mentioned in the description. The green light from the emergency lighting unit was disturbing during the night.

Amazingly cheap and budget-friendly hostel. Grocery store nearby for cooking meals at a low cost. Peaceful and dark environment for a good night's sleep. Super friendly owner with great service. Convenient clothes drying area available. Perfect location for my needs. Great kitchen and dining facilities. The 4-bed dorm spacious for two people.

Our group of families had a great time in this converted school house. The communal kitchen and living space was perfect for entertaining all ages. The garden space was a bonus. The town had everything we needed for our Highland adventure, including a great pub, restaurant, and a well-stocked post office. We even had the opportunity to help some fellow travelers by using the drying room.
The window had a little dust and the hostel was a bit remote from tourist attractions. However, considering the affordable price, these were minor inconveniences.

We had an amazing stay at this hostel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the showers were a welcome treat after a long day. The hostel also had a secure bike storage area, which was a great convenience for us. The location was perfect, with pubs and food options just a short walk away. Plus, the nearby cycling routes were fantastic!
There were a few minor drawbacks. The family room we stayed in felt a bit cramped with our luggage, and the laundry service didn't completely dry our clothes.

Beautiful location with all amenities nearby. Well-equipped communal room for socializing. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment. The surroundings were peaceful and perfect for a relaxing stay.
Staff was unresponsive and absent throughout my stay. The lack of staff presence resulted in unemptied bins and a missing welcome pack.

I had a fantastic stay at a hostel in a beautiful location. Close to the center of town, it was convenient for country walks and exploring. the hostel had a friendly host who did our laundry quickly and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. Although the lounge was a little chilly, they provided heaters to make it comfortable.
A great experience. Cons: Nothing to dislike.

I felt like I was conquering Mount Everest with all those hills in Scotland. Loved the short walks, perfect for a lazy person like me. Tomintoul, a place where time stops and sanity returns. The hostel was a good base for exploring and the secure key fob system made me feel like a secret agent.
I had a blast not seeing any staff during my stay. It was such a thrill not knowing if my room would be unlocked or if someone would walk in at any moment.

We got great value for our money and the room was perfect for our group. The location was ideal, with everything we needed within walking distance.
The only thing that could have made breakfast choices better was if there were more vegetarian options available.
